Client Challenge
MedSync needed a HIPAA-aware platform that unified scheduling, records and AI consultations across distributed clinics — without overwhelming front-desk staff.
Discovery Process
We ran 14 stakeholder interviews across 3 clinics, mapped the patient journey end-to-end, and quantified the highest-friction moments in admin and triage.
Product Strategy
Defined a phased rollout: Scheduling MVP → AI triage → Analytics. Built a modular product architecture so each clinic could enable AI features at its own pace.
UI/UX Process
Designed a calm, dense clinical UI with high information density and one-tap actions. Prototyped flows in Figma and validated with 8 nurses before any code shipped.
Development Process
Built a typed monorepo with React + Node, Postgres with row-level security, background workers for sync, and a hardened audit log layer for compliance.
AI Integration
Integrated OpenAI for symptom triage with a structured-output guardrail, plus an internal embedding store to ground responses in the patient's own history.
